Touch screen monitors have now offered us a natural method that we can use to interact with our electronic devices.
Based on our instinct as humans, to reach and touch something, these touchscreen monitors have made it easier for us to use some software applications.
They are suitable for children’s programs, videos, browsing the internet, and viewing of photos and are pretty portable around your house.
Two Types of Monitors
We have two types of touchscreen monitors. We have some that function based on its sensitivity to pressure, which is called the resistive touchscreens. We have others based their sensitivity to the electric charge, which is called the capacitive touchscreens.
Formerly, the resistive touch screen was in use, but the capacitive touchscreens have now taken over.
Listed below are the lists of 20 best touchscreen monitors for sale.
1. Acer T272HL 27-inch Wide Touch Screen
This monitor can track more than ten different finger movements all at once. It has a multi-track software.
Review from Mary:
Beautiful monitor–best I’ve used. I upgraded my 3-year-old Windows 7 64 bit Dell to Windows 10 to get the touch features, and although the screen looked great, the touch didn’t work initially. Just an FYI, the Windows 10 upgrade has been problem-free (surprise), although it took forever (overnight).
2. Toguard 15 inch TFT Led Touch Screen Monitor
This is designed in such a way that it can be used for almost anything.
Can be used for watching movies, to monitor security cameras, browse the web and play games
Review from Nikki:
This touchscreen monitor is absolutely amazing. I would suggest it to anyone. Thank you TOGUARD!
3. GeChic 1303i 13 Inch Portable Touch Screen Monitor
Review from an Amazon User:
Perfect 2nd screen. I have several USB screens sitting in a pile in my closet, all not working due to driver issues with my MSFT Surface Pro 3. The three things that are five stars are:
1. Total Plug and Play, and it is just that.
2. Extremely functional with a super clear screen easy to use.
3. Exceeds all expectations, many creative ways to connect, which all work, separate power.
There is nothing about this product I do not like. I use this for work, futures trading, and extensive hotel/travel use. Wow, finally, a solution that works. Dig deep into the pocket for this one, and you get a bit more than what you pay for. Nice to see that once in a while.
4. Planar PCT2235 1O-Points 22-Inch Touch Screen LCD Monitor
Review from Larry:
I was looking for a touch screen monitor with as much real estate as I could get, and for the price, the Planar Helium doesn’t disappoint.
It offers a good variety of connection options with a DisplayPort, VGA, and HDMI ports. It also has 2x USB 2.0 ports on the rear and 3.5mm audio in/out jacks. It came with a VGA, HDMI, and audio cable and a cord wrap and a small cell-phone style stylus (which, while appreciated, is not optimal for such a large screen).
The onboard speakers are pretty tinny, but I didn’t even realize that it had built-in speakers before I purchased it, so that’s no let-down. I was very impressed by the kickstand attached to the backside of the monitor. It feels very steady when upright at 15 degrees and will hold the unit anywhere along the way down to 70 degrees.
When it’s the lowest position, it is easy to type using on-screen keyboards and take full advantage of the multi-touch functionality. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase. I originally planned to use a wall mount for the screen, but the kickstand works so well I’ve stuck with it for the last few months.

5. ViewSonic TD2230 10-Point 22-inch Touch Screen Monitor
Review from Alfonso:
When I had first received the product and downloaded all the necessary programs, the touch screen did not respond to my actions. It was infuriating, and I went to ViewSonic technical support, Microsoft Community. My computer was upgraded to Windows 10 months ago, attempted to find the correct drivers, and even voted on said Microsoft Community that the touch screen monitor was not compatible with Windows 10. I worried that I got the incorrect product since one of the directions warned about fingerprints on the monitor being difficult to remove. Why put such a warning on a touch screen device? Was it not meant to be touched?
Then after nine hours of such frustration, I kid you not, I received an e-mail reply from one Aljhon of ViewSonic Support. There was a statement at the end of that message that went “Installing monitor is not required or necessary. It will work as a plug and play device.” After a few moments of updating all possible drivers through the Device Manager, I thought what would happen if I unplugged the USB cable from the PC while connected to the internet. So I tried so. Not only did Windows 10 recognize it as a touch screen monitor, but it also automatically downloaded the necessary drivers to operate correctly. As you can imagine, I was filled with joy that I finally got the touch screen monitor, similar to this screen made of glass to work on Windows 10 and annoyance that I did not think of trying such an action in the first place. The directions for installing the device instructed that I plugged the USB into the PC before I began software installation from the included disk. It did not mention unplugging and replugging the USB cable back into the PC with an active internet connection.
6. Asus VT207N LED Touch Screen Monitor
Review from Bill:
I picked up a factory refurb unit. Relatively inexpensive, which is why I give it the five stars. A good touch screen that is a convenient size. 1600×900 resolution and a decent picture. I use mine as a mixer interface in a recording studio – so it is a work surface in my case.
Out of the box, the image was low – but since I am in the AV industry, I looked for touch screen drive. The unit shipped with a Smart setting turned on in the image menu that resulted in the image being washed out. Turning this function off resulted in a friendly, y contrasted, standard looking image.
Inexpensive, Good Touch, nice picture.
7. ELO 1515L Commercial Touch Screen LCD Monitor
Review from Fry:
I had this same model as a franchise because I was required to have it, and after De-franchising, I kept it for many years with zero problems. I just bought the same model.
Yep it’s on the pricey end but so worth the money to not have to replace it for so long. I will say 13 years or so…that is amazing for computer equipment, or choose the ones with tough and ruggedised displays !
8. ViewSonic TD2220 Dual-Point 22-Inch Touch Screen Monitors
So a bit of advise for those who choose to purchase this product: Once you’ve installed all the programs on the disk, make sure that you have an active internet connection and replug the USB cable back into the PC. Don’t be like me and go for nine hours of frustration. It’s much more simpler that way. BTW, people are considering antimicrobial touch screen features monitor as well.
9. Acer 232HL 23-Inch Wide Touch Screen Monitor
Review from Pelle:
I purchased this monitor to experience the full effect of Windows 8 – using it as a second monitor connected to my laptop (Sony Vaio Z).
One thing I did not see mentioned anywhere – for touch to work, you need to connect the USB3 cable from the monitor to your computer and one of the included video cables. I am unsure if a USB3 connection is required or if this will work with an older USB2 jack [,**UPDATE** others say that USB2 works fine].
This is replacing an older Dell 24-inch. The color and clarity are perfect, and I am not any worse off with the move down to 23 inches – frankly, it looks about the same as the 24 to me.
There are a few drawbacks:
1. Reflection:
The screen is HIGHLY reflective. When it is off, it can double as a mirror touch screen monitor. I have a window behind my desk and have had to angle this monitor a strange way to reduce reflection. When on, the reflection is not as bad, but much, much worse than my old matt-finish Dell 24.”
2. The stand:
The monitor does not turn or pivot. I often grab my monitor and turn it on my desk to share with people on the other side. To accommodate this use, I will be installing a mounting arm – at an additional cost. On the plus side, the kickstand leg and the plastic bottom/front bezel can be removed (with screws), which will make this look very nice mounted on the arm.
3. Speaker:
This monitor has a speaker on the back, that overrides my laptop speaker, likely because it is plugged in through the USB port. As terrible as my laptop sound is, this monitor’s speaker is worse. [**UPDATE** a simple setting in Windows will let you switch back to your computer’s other audio outputs].
On the plus side:
1. This monitor is significantly less expensive than the new 23″ Dell Touch Monitor (S2340T)
2. It is slightly easier to get
3. It has a lovely picture
4. The touch features work very well – supports Windows 8 requirements (older touch monitors do not)
5. Includes an integrated three-port USB3 hub on the back of the monitor
6. and comes with all the cables you might reasonably need
7. You can remove the Kickstand and plastic bottom piece – and attach to any VESA 100×100 mount
10. Dell S2240T 21-Inch LED Touch Screen Monitor
Review from anonymous customer:
I bought this monitor to mount on my kitchen wall for a combined “picture frame,” calendar, and online recipe access. Or you could consider this video on a wall for commercial purposes. Anyway, I paired it with an Atom-based fanless mini computer running Windows 10 Pro. Windows 10 recognized the monitor and touch function (via USB). All I had to do was tell Windows 10 that I had the monitor in portrait orientation, and voila!
Initially, the blacks were not very black… I did find that I had to adjust my graphics card settings… for some reason, the Intel HD Graphics driver defaulted to a “limited range” of colors it would send to the monitor. When I changed this setting and tweaked the monitor settings, the result was very satisfying.
I like the edge-to-edge glass on this monitor. It means that Windows 10 is happy with the swipe-from-edge gestures, and gives the monitor a clean look (it would be even better if I could remove the DELL logo. Oh well.).
I am using the audio output from the monitor (the computer sees the monitor as an audio device through the HDMI cable). This seems to work very well.
11. Acer T232HL Abmjjz
Review from Mary:
Beautiful monitor–best I’ve used. I upgraded my three-year-old Windows 7 64 bit, Dell, to Windows 10 to get the touch features, and although the screen looked great, the touch didn’t work initially. Just an FYI, so far, the Windows 10 upgrade has been problem-free (surprise), although it took forever (overnight). I called Acer (866-695-2237), and a very patient tech spent about an hour with me trying to update drivers before we figured out I hadn’t connected the 2nd cable.
It needs both an HDMI cable (for standard screen stuff) and a USB cable for the touch features. The instructions are a little fuzzy–as if translated (poorly) from another language. Somewhat weirdly, my monitor came with a cable that is USB on one end (connects to the computer) and a very odd connection on the other end that connects to the monitor.
The tech said the other end is called “1800 mm” and it looks like two small boxes, one on top of the other. Very similar configuration to this touch screen installation in a computer kiosk monitor. The 4′ cable isn’t quite long enough, and I can’t find anything on-line to order a 6′ version. Actually, I found the part number on Amazon, but it was for Europe only and couldn’t be delivered to the US. So I’ve ordered a USB extension cable instead.
12. Planar PCT2235
13. Dell P2418HT
Review from Ronald:
I work with a CAD program on a 15.4″ 2016 MacBook Pro, so I needed a larger size, preferable touch monitor to make work easier. I researched many different monitors from various manufacturers and finally narrowed it down to 2 from Dell, this one, and the U2415. I like both, but what swung the decision for me was the touch ability of this monitor.
This monitor works, with several connection options, even for open frame touch screen (if you are interested, they provide open frame type of touch displays) both upstream and downstream. I know Macs don’t support touch, but I could get around that with the TOUCH BASE drivers. Their driver package works, and I have never dealt with a company with better support, even pre-sale support. Dave Bhattacharjee is top-notch. He gets back to you within the day with any answers to your questions. That’s especially notable given the time zone difference (TOUCH BASE is located in England).
If you have a Mac, and want a screen with touch ability, don’t hesitate to go with TOUCHBASE. Their website is very comprehensive, with almost any question you might have addressed there, including a complete list of every touchscreen their software drivers have been tested with. Go for it!
14. Planar Helium PCT2485
Review from Emerald:
I ordered the Planar PCT2235 22-inch touchscreen monitor that features projected capacitive touch technology and registers up to 10 simultaneous touchpoints. I researched for quite some time and had my husband’s helped as well. The monitor is fast and responsive and tilts easily. It works well with our Windows 10, and the setup was a cinch. The screen looks consistent throughout, and it did not require calibration.
The reason why I was highly interested in this Planar was because of the three-year warranty and 2-day replacement guarantee. The two-day replacement was tested because of an issue with the first shipment. That guarantee attached to this monitor is accurate. The screen is crisp and nice to look at. Overall, based on our experience, we would not hesitate to order again and are happy about the monitor.
15. ViewSonic TD2230
Review from Daniel:
I received this today and am in absolute love. I have a disability and can not use a mouse for more than a few minutes. I have this hooked up to my Surface Pro 3, and it has been nothing shy of amazing. I have been on my computer for hours with zero pain, and this monitor has stayed cold and very responsive the entire time. I will be purchasing this again in the 27″ version.
UPDATE: I purchased the 27″ version as well for home use. I also went online and found screen protectors for these two monster monitors. I could NOT be happier with my purchases. I use one in my classroom and it runs 9 hours a day every day. It never gets warm and the touch screen is very accurate and sensitive.

18. Elo 2201L
